Kombucha Rosella Campuran Buah Nipah Sebagai Minuman Fungsional untuk Meningatkan Hemoglobin Calon Pengantin Wanita dengan Anemia

Abstract


A potential alternative solution to address anemia is the administration of roselle kombucha mixed with nipah fruit. The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the benefits of roselle kombucha mixed with nipah fruit as a functional drink to increase hemoglobin levels in brides-to-be with anemia. This was an experimental study with a one-group pretest and posttest design. The study was conducted in the microbiology laboratory of the Muhammadiyah Institute of Health Sciences and Technology, Palembang, from September to October 2024. The sample consisted of 30 brides-to-be. Hemoglobin levels were measured before and after treatment, and then a comparison test was performed using the Wilcoxon test. The analysis showed that the mean hemoglobin levels before and after administration of roselle kombucha mixed with nipah fruit were 10.67 g/dL and 12.12 g/dL, respectively, with a p-value of 0.000, indicating a significant difference. Furthermore, it was concluded that administration of roselle kombucha mixed with nipah fruit successfully increased hemoglobin levels in brides-to-be.

ABSTRAK

 

Solusi yang dapat dijadikan alternatif untuk mengatasi permasalahan anemia adalah pemberian kombucha rosella dari campuran buah nipah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuktikan manfaat kombucha rosella campuran buah nipah sebagai minuman fungsional untuk meningkatkan kadar hemoglobin calon pengantin wanita dengan anemia. Penelitian ini merupakan studi eksperimental dengan rancangan one group pretest and posttest. Penelitian ini dilakukan di laboratorium mikrobiologi Institut Ilmu Kesehatan dan Teknologi Muhammadiyah Palembang pada bulan September hingga Oktober 2024. Sampel penelitian adalah 30 calon pengantin wanita. Kadar hemoglobin diukur pada fase sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan dan selanjutnya dilakukan uji perbandingan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa rerata kadar hemoglobin pra dan pasca pemberian kombucha rosella campuran buah nipa, masing-masing adalah 10,67 g/dL dan 12,12g/dL dengan nilai p = 0,000, yang berarti bahwa ada perbedaan secara signifikan. Selanjutnya disimpulkan bahwa pemberian kombuca rosella campuran buah nipah berhasil meningkatkan kadar hemoglobin calon pengantin wanita.
