Latihan Pilates dan Latihan Kekuatan Berpengaruh dalam Meningkatkan Kecepatan Lari 5 Kilometer

Abstract


Running speed is influenced by several factors such as muscle strength, muscle flexibility, muscle endurance, balance and reaction time. These physical components are equally important to provide because they are interconnected with one another to increase running speed. One effort to optimize running speed is pilates training and muscle strength training. This study aimed to analyze the effect of pilates training and strength training on recreational runners' 5 km running speed. The study was conducted for 6 weeks involving 32 runners in Jakarta, who were divided into treatment group I with pilates training and treatment group 2 with muscle strength training. This research was conducted at Cardea Physiotherapy, Jakarta using application measurement tools for runners that are commonly used (I-Watch, Strava, Polar, Garmin and Nike Run Club). Furthermore, data analysis was carried out using a paired sample t-test and obtained p <0.05 for each group. When the values of the two groups were compared using the independent sample t-test, the p value <0.05 was obtained. So it was concluded that pilates training and muscle strength training can increase the speed of running 5 km in recreational runners in Jakarta; which in this case pilates exercises give better results.

Kecepatan lari dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti kekuatan otot, fleksibilitas otot, ketahanan otot, keseimbangan dan waktu reaksi. Komponen fisik tersebut sama pentingnya untuk diberikan karena saling berhubungan satu sama lain untuk meningkatkan kecepatan lari. Salah satu upaya untuk mengoptimalkan kecepatan lari adalah latihan pilates dan latihan kekuatan otot. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh latihan pilates dan latihan kekuatan terhadap kecepatan lari 5 km pelari rekreasi. Penelitian dilakukan selama 6 minggu yang melibatkan 32 pelari yang berada di Jakarta, yang dibagi dalam kelompok perlakuan I dengan latihan pilates dan kelompok perlakuan 2 dengan latihan kekuatan otot. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Cardea Physiotherapy, Jakarta dengan menggunakan alat ukur aplikasi untuk pelari yang biasa digunakan (I-Watch, Strava, Polar, Garmin dan Nike Run Club). Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis data menggunakan paired sample t-test dan didapatkan nilai p<0,05 untuk masing-masing kelompok. Ketika nilai dari kedua kelompok dibandingkan menggunakan independent sample t-test, didapatkan nilai p <0,05. Maka disimpulkan bahwa latihan pilates dan latihan kekuatan otot mampu meningkatkan kecepatan lari 5 km pada pelari rekreasi di Jakarta; yang dalam hal ini latihan pilates memberikan hasil yang lebih baik.
