Peran Kepemimpinan dalam Implementasi Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja di Rumah Sakit

Abstract


Effective implementation of occupational safety and health in hospitals requires support from various parties, especially organizational leaders. The objective of this study was to analyze the correlation between leadership roles and the implementation of occupational safety and health in hospitals and to explore this further. This study was a mixed methods sequential explanatory study. The quantitative phase involved 67 participants, an observational research study that analyzed the correlation between leadership roles and the implementation of occupational safety and health in hospitals using the Spearman correlation test. The qualitative phase involved four participants who were interviewed in depth. The analysis showed that all leadership roles were significantly correlated with the implementation of occupational safety and health in hospitals: catalyst (p = 0.000), facilitator (p = 0.000), solver (p = 0.000), connector (p = 0.000), and communicator (p = 0.000). Leaders serve to accelerate the process of change and innovation in occupational safety practices. Leaders who are able to identify and resolve problems quickly and effectively contribute significantly to occupational safety. In conclusion, leadership roles are effective supporters of the effective implementation of occupational safety and health in hospitals.

ABSTRAK

 

Penerapan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja rumah sakit yang efektif memerlukan dukungan dari berbagai pihak, terutama pemimpin organisasi. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis korelasi antara peran kepemimpinan dan penerapan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja rumah sakit serta mengeksplorasinya lebih dalam. Studi ini merupakan penelitian mixed methods sequential explanatory. Tahap kuantitatif melibatkan 67 orang, berupa riset observasional yang menganalisis korelasi antara peran kepemimpinan dan penerapan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja rumah sakit dengan uji korelasi Spearman. Tahap kualitatif melibatkan 4 partisipan yang diwawancarai secara mendalam. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa semua peran kepemimpinan secara signifikan berkorelasi dengan penerapan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja rumah sakit, yakni sebagai katalisator (p = 0,000), fasilitator (p = 0,000), pemecah (p = 0,000), penghubung (p = 0,000) dan komunikator (p = 0,000). Pemimpin berfungsi untuk mempercepat proses perubahan dan inovasi dalam praktik keselamatan kerja. Pemimpin yang mampu mengidentifikasi dan menyelesaikan masalah secara cepat dan efektif berkontribusi besar terhadap keselamatan kerja. Sebagai kesimpulan, peran kepemimpinan merupakan pendukung yang efektif bagi penerapan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja yang efektif di rumah sakit.
