Konsumsi Tablet Fe dan Jus Jambu Biji Merah untuk Meningkatkan Kadar Hemoglobin Ibu Hamil dengan Anemia

Abstract


Treatment to increase hemoglobin levels in pregnant women can be done pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. One of the non-pharmacological treatments that can be done is giving vitamin C so that the absorption and formation of hemoglobin is faster, such as consuming red guava juice. This study aimed to test the effectiveness of consuming Fe tablets and red guava juice to increase hemoglobin levels in pregnant women in the third trimester. This study was an experimental study that applied a pretest-posttest with control group design. The experimental group was given an intervention by giving Fe tablets and red guava juice; while the control group was only given Fe. Researchers measured hemoglobin levels in both groups before and after the intervention. Furthermore, a comparative test of hemoglobin levels was carried out between the two groups using the t-test. The results showed that for the treatment group, all pregnant women with anemia (100%) had changed to normal; while for the control group, no pregnant women (0%) had changed to normal. The results of the t-test showed a p-value = 0.000, so it was interpreted that there was a difference in increasing hemoglobin levels between the two groups. Furthermore, it was concluded that consuming Fe tablets and red guava juice is effective in increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women in the third trimester.

ABSTRAK

 

Pengobatan dalam rangka meningkatkan kadar hemoglobin pada ibu hamil dapat dilakukan secara farmakologis dan non farmakologis. Salah satu penatalaksanaan non farmakologis yang bisa dilakukan adalah pemberian vitamin C agar proses penyerapan dan pembentukan hemoglobin lebih cepat, seperti konsumsi jus jambu biji merah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas konsumsi tablet Fe dan jus jambu biji merah untuk meningkatkan kadar hemoglobin ibu hamil trimester III. Penelitian ini merupakan studi eksperimental yang menerapkan rancangan pretest-posttest with control group. Kelompok eksperimen diberikan intervensi dengan pemberian tablet Fe dan jus jambu biji merah; sedangkan kelompok kontrol hanya diberikan Fe. Peneliti mengukur kadar hemoglobin pada kedua kelompok pada fase sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji perbandingan kadar hemoglobin di antara kedua kelompok menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk kelompok perlakuan, semua ibu hamil dengan anemia (100%) telah berubah menjadi normal; sedangkan untuk kelompok kontrol, tidak ada ibu hamil (0%) yang telah berubah menjadi normal. Hasil uji t menunjukkan nilai p = 0,000, sehingga ditafsirkan bahwa ada perbedaan peningkatan kadar hmoglobin antara kedua kelompok. Selanjutnya disimpulkan bahwa konsumsi tablet Fe dan jus jambu biji merah efektif untuk meningkatkan kadar hemoglobin ibu hamil trimester III.
