Potensi Biotp Untuk Mendekomposisi Sampah Organik Rumah Tangga Menjadi Kompos Ditinjau Dari Unsur Hara Makro

Household waste primarily consists of organic waste, including food scraps, vegetables, and fruits, which can decompose naturally. The decomposition process may lead to health and environmental issues, making proper waste management essential. One method for managing household waste is composting. This study aims to investigate the potential of the BioTP bioinoculant in decomposing household organic waste, focusing on macronutrients. The study is an experimental research with a pre-test and post-test design. It measures macronutrient levels (N, P, and K) in compost before and after the decomposition process in the treatment group (using BioTP) and the control group. Data obtained were analyzed using a t-test. The results showed that in the treatment group, after decomposition, the levels of N (1.73%), P (1.74%), and K (1.70%) met the standards. In the control group, the levels of N (1.68%), P (2.05%), and K (1.35%) also met the standards. Statistical tests before and after decomposition indicated that for N in both the treatment and control groups, ρ < α, signifying a significant difference. For P and K in both groups, ρ > α, indicating no significant difference. Comparisons between the treatment and control groups for N, P, and K also yielded ρ > α, signifying no significant difference. Further research is needed to examine the microelements in compost.

ABSTRAK
Sampah rumah tangga sebagian besar sampah organik, dapat berupa sisa makanan, sayuran, buah-buahan yang dapat terdekomposisi secara alami. Hasil dekomposisi dapat menyebabkan masalah kesehatan maupun lingkungan, sehingga sampah perlu dikelola. Salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan untuk mengelola sampah rumah tangga adalah pengomposan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui potensi bioinokulan BioTP untuk mendekomposisi sampah organik rumah tangga ditinjau dari unsur hara makro. Penelitian ini tergolong eksperimen dengan desain pre dan post-test. Dalam penelitian ini melakukan pengukuran unsur hara makro (N, P dan K) pada kompos sebelum dan sesudah proses dekomposisi pada kelompok perlakuan (dengan BioTP) dan kelompok kontrol. Data yang diperoleh dijelaskan dengan Uji-t. Hasil penelitian adalah pada kelompok perlakuan sesudah proses dekomposisi kandungan N (1,73 %), P (1,74%) dan K (1,70%), kelompok kontrol N (1,68 %), P (2,05% ) dan K (1,35%), telah memenuhi syarat. Hasil uji statistik sebelum dan sesudah dekomposisi, untuk N pada kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol diperoleh nilai ρ < α yang berarti ada perbedaan signifikan, sedangkan P dan K pada kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol nilai ρ > α yang berarti tidak ada perbedaan. N, P dan K pada kelompok perlakuan dengan kontrol, mempunyai nilai ρ > α yang berarti tidak ada perbedaan. Perlu penelitian lebih lanjut untuk unsur mikro pada kompos.
